This page contains details about myself and was first written by my son over two decades ago, when webspace was expensive and digital camera's, let alone mobiles, were not as good as they are today. Some of the pictures are therefore small and of dubious quality. To view my needlecraft, please click on one of the menu options at the top of this page. My needlecraft includes rag dolls, soft toys, dresses, quilts and crochet. Apart from this, I have pages on how to make a sectional ball and how to make a christmas star (complete with pattern). There is also a page containing links to other needlecraft sites.

I have been involved in needlecraft all my adult life, which now spans eight decades and have many years of experience in different types of needlecraft, including patchwork, quilting, smocking, crochet and soft toy making. I also have a City & Guilds Adult Teaching qualification in patchwork.

I live in Milton Keynes in Buckinghamshire, and I used to attend the Milton Keynes Country Market at Wolverton Community Centre on Friday mornings. This unfortunately closed due to the covid 19 pandemic. I do still attend a patchwork and quilting club on Tuesday mornings which holds its meetings at the Milton Keynes history Museum. The club sells needlecraft in the Museum shop for the benefit of the Museum. Some of my contributions have been easter ducks, tiny teddies, christmas decorations, advent calandars, finger puppets, tea cozy's and tote bags.

My biggest passion is for quilting and over the years I have made a large number of quilts. I have exhibited my quilts in several national patchwork shows. They have included both modern and traditional one's. Most of them can be seen on this web site.

For several years now I have made cot quilts for Milton Keynes hospital maternity ward Cot Quilts. I have also made quilts for Project Linus UK. This is a volunteer non-profit organisation that donates quilts and blankets to children who are sick, disabled, disadvantaged or distressed.

Over the years I have often ran evening classes in patchwork and quilting. I have also given many day and evening workshops on different needlecraft subjects.
