Fantasy Football (Season 2009 / 2010) - Week 29

Hi folks,

Results before today's games - with Spurs not playing in the FA Cup final, it would appear victory in the fantasy football league is going to go once again to the manager of Mark's Superstars. Well done to the Yido's manager never the less. Shame on the manager of Addlestone Rovers for being beaten by a dog and a cat!! however he can avoid the wooden spoon. The current score at Stanford Bridge is Chelsea 7 Wigan 0 with Drogba having scored a hat-trick.

Fantasy Football (Season 2009 / 2010) - Week 17

Hi folks,

Here we go with the results that make the league up to date. I bet you didn't think that would happen last year. We have had lots of little moves up and down all over the league. No one has moved more than three to four places.

The second transfer window is now open, so if you have not already done so, get your thinking caps on, and send me your player transfers before it closes at mid-night on Monday 8th February.

Talk to you all soon.

Fantasy Football (Season 2009 / 2010) - Week 4

Hi folks,

The league table for week 4 of Fantasy Football has been uploaded along with the individual team sheets. I had a time issue with week 3, so I went straight into week 4. My brother is coming out to California to see me this weekend, and we will be spending some time together cleaning up the website, and updating the missing web pages that I know you all love (ha ha ha).

On a lighter note, I feel all of us people that have been watching football for a while have got to look inside ourselves. We are all trailing the mighty Alfie's Allstars (the manager of this team is only one year old) just think what he will be able to do when he can read and write like the rest of us! I have just so much admiration for his parents who seem to have produced a fantasy football internet geniuses. Lets hope this doesn't go to his little head, as fame can be a cruel mistress.

Fantasy Football (Season 2009 / 2010) - Week 2

Hi folks,

Paul How here I know my brother has told you that we are having a changing of the guard this year. I’m sorry that it is taking so long, but I have to learn a lot of stuff from my brother (he’s the cleaver one) and it just takes me a little longer, so hang in there, the Yanks are coming!!

I hope to give you just as much info as Keith (he’s showing me how to do all of his stuff) so you are kept up to date with the most important information.

If you need to contact me, you can e-mail me at howcorp@sbcglobal.net or leave a message on the blog site. I will reply with an answer (although it maybe not the right one).

I hope you all have a really good season, and may the best person who lives in America win - oops!!

Fantasy Football (Season 2009 / 2010) - Week 0

Hi folks,

It's less than two weeks now until the start of a new fantasy football season. The players have already been posted on the dream team website for a over a week, and I know some of you have already been on the website viewing the players, and giving some thought to which one's will be in your team.

As you will all have been aware last season, I did not find as much time to supply you with weekly updates as I have done in previous seasons. With this in mind I have decided after several years to step down from running the league. Fear not though, my brother Paul from Over The Pond has volunteered to take it over. Due to his being six thousand miles away from the rest of us, it makes more sense for someone else to act as treasurer. I have offered to continue to do this for him, unless someone else would like to do it. Just let me know as soon as possible if you would like would like to act as treasurer. I will confirm who the treasurer is next week.

The reason why I am sending this e-mail and not Paul, is that his Notebook PC went wrong over the weekend. He is sending it for repair immediately, and hopefully it will be back in working order before the start of the fantasy football season. There are several other PC's in his house, so he can still pick up e-mail, it is just not as easy for him to use them. I am sure you are all aware of why that is.

I attach to this e-mail like last year a spreadsheet containing various different worksheets including the Players and an Entry Form. Please do use the Entry Form if possible, as it does help with the setting up of the Fantasy Football spreadsheet. The preferred method of receiving your entry is by e-mail (howcorp@sbcglobal.net). A tip on how to fill the form in quickly, is mentioned on the How to Play tab. I have been informed that there has been at least one major change to the Sun newspaper rules this year. I will check them out, and send you an update tomorrow on what they are.

The deadline for receiving your completed Entry Form is 12.45pm on Saturday August 15th 2009.

Paul looks forward to receiving all your entries. The cost is just £5 per team, and £1 per player transfer. We had 34 teams last season, and the first prize was £140.
